Jake's sister Tara was married over the Columbus day weekend. It was a wonderful affair.

Abby lost her second tooth!

Abby has lost her second bottom tooth! If feels so great to be a big kid.

Abby's First Day at School

Abby is now officially a kindergartener! She absolutely loves the idea of going to school and even better being able to ride on the bus. She has a friend at daycare that rides the bus with her and she is so excited! Mrs. Mosher is her teacher. Jake and I were at school with her for her very first day and the second day she traveled to and from on the school bus!

Cob's Cook Bay State Park

We spent one wonderful week at Cob's Cook Bay State Park, not to mention all the traveling we did when we were there. We saw Machiasport, Eastport, Lubec, Campobello Canada, and every other little town within a 50 mile radius of the state park. We had the best site ever overlooking the bay. We had a private trail to an island that we were able to travel to at low tide. We did 5 Geocaches on this camping trip too. It was so much fun!

Mt Blue Camping Trip

Our first camping trip of the year, completely over due since it is that last week in July. We spent sometime at the beach and we took the Zodiac boat out on Webb Lake. We were in site 104 next to the Doughty's and Abby had a great time walking the path in the woods between the two sites. The weather wasn't the best, we had a lot of rain. We traveled to Rangley for a day and over to Kingfield to see the new Poland Spring plant. It is nice. The best site was the "Height of the Land".

Look Who's Swimming NOW!

Abby swam all by herself! No flotation device, just a healthy amount of encouragement and loving support. She has been so close for weeks and she finally swam half way across the pool to her father today! What a great accomplishment. Abby has past two important milestones this weekend. Congratulations to Abby.

Lost Tooth

Abby lost her first tooth! She was biting into a tangerine and out it came. She is so excited. The tooth fairy came and left her a beautiful GOLD dollar coin.

Michael, my nephew, is going to St Joseph's College

Michael has been accepted to St. Joe's! Mike and I spent a weekend filled with entertainment and a tour of the campus. Mike was hypnotised by a local hypnotist artist. He only stayed under through the first "skit" but it was still fun to watch.

Mike is going to live with us until his semester at St. Joe's starts on August 30th!

A Visit from the Tooth Fairy?

Abby has discovered a loose tooth this weekend! I can't believe it, she's just 5 years old and may loose a tooth soon.

Jack's 2nd Birthday Party

In light of Jack's prior commitment on his birthday, we had Jack's birthday party a week later. Jack is CRAZY about tractors so we decided we would have to create a tractor cake. There was only one dilemma. Dad runs Kubota orange and Grampa runs John Deere green, so we decided that we would sport Abby's favorite color yellow and make a CAT cake. Jake did all the work and it was just awesome! Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!

Jack's 2nd Birthday - May 23, 2008

Jack spent his second birthday at Maine Medical, Scarborough Campus having eye surgery. Jack had a mass, about the size of a small marble, in the orbit of his right eye. This mass was successfully removed with out any apparent long term damage. Jack's birthday party is schedule for next Saturday

Abby's 5th Birthday

It's hard to believe that Abby is 5 years old already! She wanted an Ariel cake so Mom and I made an "Under the Sea" themed cake. It came out really nice and Abby loved. We had a small birthday party at the house and Abby invited all her best friends.

I can't believe that Abby is already 5 years old! We had a nice little party for her at the house and she invited all her best friends. She chose and Ariel cake this year so Mom and I made an "Under the Sea" themed cake.

Abby's Kindergarten Social

Abby visited her school for the first time today, this is the first trip of many over the next couple of weeks. She got an opportunity to play with different things in the classrooms, meet the teacher, principle and potential classmates. We will not know who her teacher will be until later in the summer. Abby really enjoyed her visit at the school

Jack's Got a Big Boy Bed

We decided to get that toddler bed out of the basement and put it in Jack's room. Who would have guessed that Jack would insist on using it that day! Two days later and he is not going back to that crib, he loves his big boy bed.

Abby's First Slumber Party

Abby had her first Slumber Party! She invited 4 friends, but her BBF Lauren was sick. The girls started the evening making mini-pizzas. Then they played barbies, dressed-up and danced until it was time to settle down before bed. They watch a movie while Jack was sent off to bed. After downing hot coco and popcorn, it was off to bed. In the morning the girls made pancakes for breakfast, with a little help from Jack. We all had a great time!
