Jake, Abby, Meghan (family lab) and I set off for a weekend adventure at Black Brook Cove, campground in Northern Maine. We selected a site on the remote East Shore #40. This was the only site we could back into with our camper that was private. It had no water or electrical. This is a great location for fishing and canoeing.
The beach was a traditional rocky coast that had a grassed path that lead straight back to our camping site. The remote part of the camp ground was so deserted, we didn't see a single person while we were there. The main campground - BUSY and stacked like sardines!
This was Abby & Meghan's first canoeing trip. We also visited Azichohos Lake which is only 14 miles up stream. This is Jake's snowmobiling stomping ground.

Mount Blue State Park
Jake, Abby, Meghan (family lab) and I are excited to join the Dunlap's on this family camping trip at Mount Blue State Park. Camping is a really fun thing to do when you have a RV to do it in. We checked into this beautiful Maine State Park on site #96 (site #106 is nice too). The Maine State Park Service does a really nice job making the trails safe and family friendly. There were plenty of families who were riding their bicycles too. This is Abby's first camping trip.
The trails lead to a nice body of water on Weld Pond. The water is very clean and the beach is a perfect place for a 2 year old to dig in the sand.
